ProP 7.2 - Fever, fever, go away

Malik got vaccinated against measles last weekend.

All done.

The doctor said we should expect fever or rashes within 7 to 10 days. We thought we got lucky because the weekend came and went without signs of either. Two days ago, I noticed red dots around Malik's lips. I wasn't able to take photos because I thought they were just food allergies (We recently expanded Malik's food repertoire to include avocado, chicken, beef, melon, and sayote).

Last night, exactly ten days from the day when he got his shots, Malik's body temperature was around 36.9C. We monitored his temperature throughout the night, I expectedly lost sleep, and when we woke up this morning, his temperature was at 37.9C.

It's official then. Malik has fever. Sadly, Pao and I both had to go to work. I call home every so often to check on how he's doing. Thank goodness Ate Bear knows how to handle these things. I just give her clear instructions and she's good to go. I honestly don't know how we can get by without a yaya for Malik.

Anyway, we're giving Malik paracetamol as instructed by her doctor. The fever should disappear on its own within the day.
