Waiting for the Weekend

There are two things I'm suuuppper excited about this weekend.

First, is the Every Nation World Conference happening tomorrow through Saturday. The conference is held every three years and is a time when members of Every Nation Churches and Ministries from all over the world gather for a time of worship and fellowship.

Pao and I attended EN07 back in 2007, which was the first time the conference was held in Manila. I remember I was so blown away by the energy at the Araneta. There were performances from delegates coming from as far as Africa! Woothoot. We're going to EN2010 with the in-laws and some friends later. Me cannot wait! (Click here for information about EN2010).

Second, is the showing of CATS in Manila, which will feature the Filipinos' gem-of-an-artist Lea Salonga as Grizabella. We bought tickets for this show as early as December last year. We're too eager like that.

I watched CATS once in [the actual] Broadway when I was around 11 years old, which was the first and last time I stepped on New York soil. I don't remember anything about it and I won't pretend to be so cultured as to patronize Broadway plays. Asa. I just remember taking home Playbills from the show and keeping those in a box somewhere.

Anyway, considering that CATS was once the longest running musical in Broadway history (before it was overtaken  by Phantom of the Opera), this should really be good. We're watching on the first show date, Saturday! I'll let you know soon enough what I think about it, hokey?! Memoreeeeeessssss...
