Grown Ups

Hey, hey. It's a Saturday! My second favorite day after Friday! Woothoot! This weekend, you might want to catch Grown-ups, starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade and Kevin James. It's a story about five childhood friends who go on a fourth of July holiday weekend with their families. That's it. The story's that simple, some people may actually say it's stupid. Haha

Pao and I enjoyed the movie immensely, because the characters reminded us of us and our friends at this stage in our lives. If you've stayed in touch with your highschool friends all these years, such that your kids have become friends with their kids, I think you'll love this movie like we did. However, I can't say the same for other people, like teeners and singletons who are fans of Happy Gilmore. I think for them this movie will suck and they will easily get tired of the usual falling face-first on poop, peeing in the pool, and grandma farting bits.

So I guess my recommendation will depend on who you are. Are you in your 30s? Have you just started a family? If no one's watching, will you do the running man to the tune of "Ice Ice Baby"?  If your answer is yes to all three, by all means, watch the movie.
