Pendong

Oh my. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I've been busy doing such and such. I can't promise to blog more often this coming week, or for the next three weeks for that matter. I have, er, more urgent matters to attend to. But while I can (meaning, tonight) I'm  going to document something major, major that occurred a couple of weeks ago.

Our friends know that in the morning of March 20, our little boy Malik looked like this -

Unbeknownst to Malachi, this was the last time in a long time that he would be able to look at himself in the mirror and see hair!
Siyempre ang mommy, magpicture-picture.
Siyempre and daddy, magvideo-video.
At around 5:00 p.m. of the same day, he looked like this -

Punk. The barbero did this without us asking. He suggested that we take a picture of Malik's mohawk just for kicks. Kewl.
Shortly after that, he was bokals -

Malik for the win...

Malik: "Teka, parang may naiba. "

I was particularly bent on having Malik's head shaved because he was born with thin hair. Pamahiin has it that a baby who has had his head shaved will most likely grow a thicker head of hair. I am hoping this pamahiin is true, even though I was bokals myself when I was a kid and that didn't do me any good.
Tadan! Me in my sando and high-waisted briefs.  :D
The effects of this head-shaving business have not been life-altering, by the way. It's just easier to give Malik a bath now because his head dries faster. Also, when Malik had emo hair, he enjoyed shaking his head "No" because his bangs brushed against his forehead. I don't know if he noticed that he couldn't do that anymore now. In fact, I'm not even sure if he's noticed that his hair is gone.
